I agree with all the above! Sylmar is a great place to leave and the 210 freeway is a very convenient way to reach easily others areas specially the San Bernardino mountains. Go Sylmar!

I am a member of Daughter’s of Union Veterans of the Civil War (Tent 91). I joined other “sisters’ and took my 5 y/o grandson to walk and view the cemetery last Saturday, Oct. 3. We have plans to participate in the restoration.

I’m glad to hear you are safe, but it’s a real tragedy that so many have lost their homes.
You’ve got some great points about disaster preparedness, and although where I live in Idaho seems safe from wind fires, it’s caused me to start thinking about other ways I can protect my family. Thank you.
